‘I tested H&M Move’s affordable activewear – here’s why it rivals brands 3x the price’
—
Ah H&M, it’s the trusty high-street store you can always depend on before events or when you need to pick up the niche wardrobe basic without spending an arm and a leg. I’ve got summer dresses that have lasted me years, everyday summer sandals I always get compliments on and sunglasses that outperform even some of my luxury pairs, but I’d never tried out their Move range.
So of course, I knew I had to put them through their paces to see if the collection could withstand a truly sweaty workout. I also went straight to the source and had a chat with H&M Move’s Head of Design, Marie Frederos, to explore what they’re doing that sets them apart.
H&M Move’s activewear collection offers an enormous array of kit designed to suit sports from everyday training to Pilates, as well as more niche activities like tennis and cycling. I really wanted to see what it could do, so I put it to the test with everything from my usual strength training to high-intensity cardio workouts.
